Κοινό στοιχείο όλων των μελών της μακραίωνης γενεαλογίας της είναι η τεράστια φιλαργυρία και τσιγκουνιά τους. Ο Σκρουτζ Μακ Ντακ είναι ο τελευταίος άντρας της γενιάς των Μακ Ντακ και, μαζί με τις αδελφές του, Ματίλντα και Βολκάνα Μακ Ντακ, τα τελευταία ζώντα μέλη της οικογένειας.
